NOUS AUTRES (We Others)
Installation - Performance pour une Médiathèque
To occupy a media library, a public location for lecture and culture and make a transgression possible. With the body, decipher the vocabulary of authorized movements, digress slightly, bring about a tranquil disorder, shift and displace attitudes, gestures, positions, the locations of things and the body, bring about a new order, change the relation to knowledge, towards art, in order to achieve a new perception, understood and assumed, entirely felt and joyful, of culture and of life.
The dancers invent story fragments, emphasize details, discover other ways to see the world. Between fiction and reality, their miniature danced stories echo the stories diffused by radio cassettes and the extracts of texts read aloud. In the course of one’s journey, one can see fragments of dance, of accounts, of poetic texts.
RESIDE RESOUND RESIST / WE OTHERS
change your view
modify the way of thought, the attitude, the position,
see the community, put dance in the center.
embrace the media library (the tool of culture),
change the equilibrium, redefine territories, give a place to each person,
let literature be heard, the text, the words... life,
reconnect living memory and „deceased“ memory,
re-read space with the body in the center, its place,
reinvent a location, a living culture,
change our view of ourselves and of others.
